How it works
A quick tour of the app — from first access to in-session use.
The app is designed for both Android and iOS. To download it, go to your phone's app store.
When you download the accessibility resources, the files take up space on your phone. When no longer needed, they are deleted automatically 24h after download — and you can also delete them manually.
The app is optimized for the lowest possible consumption. Prolonged use may consume more battery due to the screen brightness recommended for better visibility during use.
You can download the accessibility files on any secure Wi-Fi before the film — even from home. If you choose to download over your data plan, then it will use data.
To download content, the app needs a stable connection. Check your internet and try again. If the error persists, contact our support channel.
When triggered, the app records segments of the surrounding audio and compares them to deliver accessibility at the exact moment. Protective cases and headphones with built-in microphones can interfere with capture.
Close and restart the app. Make sure the microphone is active and unblocked. If it persists, fully uninstall and reinstall it on your device.
The app never provides the film. After audio recognition and a sync check, only the title's accessibility resources are released to the user.
Yes — the resources sync in any theater and session where the film is showing. Remember to download the resources for the version you'll watch (dubbed or subtitled).
No. Producing the resources is the responsibility of the films' producers and/or distributors. PingPlay is the platform that displays them securely.
Some titles have two versions: dubbed and subtitled. You need to have downloaded the same version you'll watch, ensuring the resource stays in sync with the content.
Because each version has different audio (Portuguese and a foreign language), the app only recognizes and syncs if the downloaded version matches the one being shown.
In the subtitled version, besides audio description, the resource includes dubbing or Voice Over (an interpreted reading of the subtitles), so blind audiences have full access to the dialogue.
The difference may be technical (frame rate) or in film versions with some content edits and/or vignettes.
